The Providence Projects was formulated after gleaning the experiences from many addicts and alcoholics in their quest to get treatment from a variety of rehabs from various cities and towns in the UK for their dependency.

My own experiences of trying to access rehab to receive treatment for my own addiction to alcohol, heroin, cocaine (both powdered and free based), and a multitude of other drugs had often been fraught with disaster from the outset. I never seemed to get the right information from the rehab centres that I contacted for treatment for my addictions. I also often felt like I was being treated like a second class citizen. My self esteem was low enough without some so-called expert putting the boot in. What did I need out of treatment for my addiction and alcoholism? Basically to be taken seriously. To be treated with kindness and cared for in a tolerant and understanding manner. To not feel judged because I was an addict and alcoholic, but to be provided with quality treatment for my dependency. Based upon these things, Dr Turnbull and I opened The Providence Projects. The leading drug and alcohol rehab in the UK offering detox, treatment and rehabilitation for all forms of dependency.
