Working closely with those we have treated
When you leave treatment at the Providence Project many of you still need our help, sometimes on a formal basis and sometimes just as an occasional point of contact. After providing a successful programme of rehab for over eighteen years we are proud that we have been able to help so many of the people we have treated to re-integrate back into a normal and happy life.
Aftercare is an essential part of this successful re-integration and we work closely with those we have treated, and their families, to put together the most suitable package tailored to the needs of the individual. If a decision is made to remain in Bournemouth then our own team can provide support packages ranging from 2 hours a week up to a full 30 hour per week programme.
Of course many of you return to your homes in different parts of the country and our long experience and high reputation has enabled us to build a nationwide network of professionals who can offer the required level of support wherever you are located. We can arrange this on your behalf or put you in touch with our recommended contacts, as you wish. We will have introduced you to the benefits to be obtained from AA and other appropriate fellowships and we will, of course, be happy to put you in touch with your local meetings. It is highly likely that wherever you go you will find another “Provi” graduate in the meeting to help you settle in.
That link between graduates of The Providence Project is of untold benefit to them. If in Bournemouth, they are allowed to come back to the treatment centre in the morning to join in the affirmations or have a chat with one of our team. Hundreds of them come back to Bournemouth each September to join our reunion celebrations; we eat, and talk with each other in beautiful surroundings and share our stories of success. Our reunion has grown so big that we now hold it at the biggest and most prestigious venue in town, The Bournemouth International Centre.
After successful alcohol rehab treatment, recovery is a lifelong process and we are with you for as long as you need us.
