It is sad to say but we all know somebody that drinks too much or has an alcohol problem. Unfortunately, there is little knowledge and help available. Many of the families we speak to have approached their GP’s who often seem unsure as to what help is available and what the best course of action should be. Very often, the person with the problem and their loved ones simply try to fix the problem themselves only to find that the situation worsens over time.
In other situations, the person who has the alcohol problem is in denial and doesn’t want to admit to the extent of the problem or they admit to having a problem but won’t accept the help available. If this sounds like your situation or you are the person with the problem and you’ve decided that you really want help, The Providence Projects are here to help.
Our alcohol helpline for rehab is available from 8am until 10pm, 7 days a week. Your call will be answered by an alcohol recovery specialist to talk through your situation with you. Whether you are a family member or the person who has the problem, we are here to help. Our alcohol rehab specialist will listen, find out about your situation and offer potential suggestions and solutions. So many people comment that for the first time, they felt understood; that they had spoken to someone who cared, knew what they were talking about and could help. For many, that first call was the first step of a journey into recovery from alcoholism.
The Providence Projects have been treating alcoholism since 1996.
