The Rehab Programme
The drug rehab, alcohol rehab and gambling rehab programmes at The Providence Projects have been carefully designed and tweaked to ensure that the treatment programme is comprehensive, ensuring that all clients are given the best opportunity to recover.
When considering entering a rehab programme, it is very common to feel nervous or frightened about the whole experience. If you can identify with these feelings, we can assure you that it is completely normal to feel this. Our clients tell us that these feelings leave them within 24 hours of starting treatment here. Believe it or not, when the time comes to leave, may of clients don’t want to go!
All clients will have a personal therapist throughout their stay, who will be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the treatment plan, ensuring all needs are met.
The treatment programme combines all of the latest evidence based practice including one-one counselling, group therapy, music therapy, acupuncture, written assignments, exercise, alternative therapies, 12 step meetings, family therapy and much much more.
The programme has been designed to address the issues linked to the addictive behaviour and to develop strategies which enable the individual to make and maintain the changes necessary. Depending on the circumstances of the individual, family therapy may play a key part in your treatment as well as specific family days which have been designed to help families understand addiction and to help them understand addiction and the related issues.
The programme at The Providence Projects is constantly evolving to keep up with latest techniques and in line with client feedback. All clients will complete a full service evaluation at the end of their treatment making suggestions as to what they would like to see changed in order to improve the programme. The Providence Projects value and utilise all of this feedback.
We also like to have fun. Treatment can at times become quite intense and to balance the programme, there are weekly fun activities which can involve, country park outings, New Forest bike Rides, Beach walks, Swimming, Ten Pin Bowling, Spa Days and team activities. Although all of these are light-hearted, they are also designed to help clients learn to have fun without alcohol or drugs.
There is more information on specific parts of the programme on our website but if you would like to find out more, please call and speak to one of our counsellors on our rehab helpline 0800 955 0945.
